Adam & Cassie's Awesome Adventure Pt 1: Ashley Tisdale is My Dreamgirl
I love Madea.
First I want to quickly apologize for the lack of updates this week which was kindly pointed out to me by my friend Mark. This week was test week at school and I went a little cray-cray.
In any case, back to normalcy.
I want to see "Madea Goes to Jail" and it better happen this weekend.
If you don't know who Madea is you are seriously missing out. We first met her in Tyler Perry's "Diary of a Mad Black Woman," which is an awesome movie in and of itself, but made even more awesomer by the presence of Madea, played by Tyler Perry.
This is where I got the phrase, "Cooking.. cleanTing.." which I use sometimes 4 times a day. Watch the video below for that piece of brilliance.
She pops up again in "Madea's Family Reunion."
And she's also briefly in "Meet the Browns." All of the movies are written by Tyler Perry himself and have a great mixture of comedy with an uplifting message.
I haven't seen "Madea Goes to Jail" yet, but based on the preview and its performance at the box office last weekend (#1 with $41 million) it's sure to be great too.
If you haven't seen them yet, be sure to check out all of the aforementioned films. I highly recommend them!
I'll let you know what I think of "Madea Goes to Jail" next week!

Exciting videos to enrich your boring Mondays!
It's basically scientifically proven that Mondays are the most loserish days of the week. That's why I've pulled together some fantastic videos to pep you up today.
Let's begin.
1. Kristen Wiig as Bjork on SNL's Weekend Update:
2. Miley Cyrus "The Climb" from the upcoming Hannah Montana movieSay what you will about Miley, but it's a really good song.
3. Scarlet Takes a Tumble(Watch 20 times)
4. This cute little girl singing in an indistinguishable language
And finally,
5. The Shoplifting Seagull
Have a great Monday and rest of the week, everybody!

The Kidz need to stop Bopping..
It's been more than 8 years since the first "Kidz Bop" CD was released, and now, 14 additional albums later (plus spin-offs like "Kidz Bop 80s Gold"), the kidz are still bopping. Why?
In 2001, most of the songs featured on the CD were by older bands/artists, like "Living La Vida Loca" (Ricky Martin), "That Don't Impress Me Much" (Shania Twain), "Oops I Did it Again..." (Britney Spears), so it was slightly understandable that these songs would be covered by children so they would seem more appropriate for them to being singing with them. Also, back then there was still some separation between being a child and a teenager, which has all but faded away now with the invention of the previously non-existent age of "tween."
Nowadays though, kidz listen to basically whatever the crap they want to. Case and point: this YouTube video of a little girl singing "So What" by Pink.Though I'm not sure exactly how old she is, she does end the video by saying "I LOVE PUPPIES!" so, I mean, you can just kinda guesstimate..
With that being said, is it really necessary to still have terrible jingle singers and 5-year-old kids covering main stream artists' songs?
Not to mention the fact that many of the artists covered on the latest Kidz Bop album, "15," are basically "kidz" too: Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, Taylor Swift, Jonas Brothers, David Archuleta, Selena Gomez. It just seems like with the average age for an artist in the music industry quickly heading toward 5, Kidz Bop is becoming obsolete.
Nevertheless, I'm sure that whoever is making these CDs will continue to milk them until music itself ceases to exist.
PS: Never, in any situation, no matter who is singing it, do I think that "When I Grow Up" by the Pussycat Dolls should be included on a Kidz Bop album, as it is on the latest. And for that matter, "American Boy" by Estelle and Kanye West probably shouldn't be on there either. Along with these others:
- So What (Pink)
- Hot N Cold (Katy Perry)
- Damaged (Danity Kane- Kidz Bop 14)
- Superstar (Lupe Fiasco- Kidz Bop 14)
- Party Like a Rockstar (Shop Boyz- Kidz Bop 13- featured below)
Things I don't look forward to: bailing them out of jail.

Weekend Update!
It's the weekend! Which means you should go out and play with your friends. Unless you have to work. If that's the case then I have no ideas for you, other than calling-in sick and taking a road trip to some random restaurant you saw on Food Network*.
While you're contemplating what to do with your weekend, here's some fresh YouTube videos to waste your mind grapes on:
1) Lake Puppies/The Great Stick Debacle- My ALL NEW YouTube video featuring the Rucker family dogs, Sandie, Izzie, and (little) Bear.
2) Robin Sparkles "Let's Go to the Mall" music video from How I Met Your Mother
Enjoy! And have a great weekend!
*foreshadowing
PS: I have a great story about a nightmare I had last night involving Ashley Tisdale and a British ghost coming up sometime this weekend.. Check back!

COLDPLAY is puppet-tastic!
Check out the hilarious music video for Coldplay's new single, "Life in Technicolor ii," featuring the band as wooden marionettes (complete with crew member marionettes as well). It is, in a word, awesome.I particularly love all the explosions.

This is why I still like Hilary Duff
Love her or hate her, we can all agree that Hilary Duff is basically the only girl Disney star that hasn't gone completely nutzo. I've had a crush on her since Disney Channel's "Lizzie McGuire" premiered and I realized our birthdays are only 9 days apart.
Now it seems Ms. Duff has been cast in a remake of "Bonnie and Clyde," playing the part of Bonnie, which Faye Dunaway played in 1967. Dunaway, being old, bitter, and no longer relevant, made the comment, "Couldn't they at least cast a real actress?"
This caused Duff, when asked about Dunaway's comment, to respond:
"I think that my fans that are going to go see the movie don't even know who she is, so you know, uh, I think it was a little unnecessary but I might be mad if I looked like that now too."
Now, granted, Hilary Duff is not the world's best actress by any means, but come on, I'd much rather support a nice non-drug-addict, non-car-crashing, non-completely-insane person like her than someone like her counterpart Lindsay Lohan (who was at least at one point in time considered a much better actress and IS all of those things I described Hilary as NOT being).
And I have to agree with her: no youngins have any idea who Faye Dunaway is. The only reason I do is because I caught one episode of a VERY shortlived show on The WB called "The Starlet," in which she was one of three judges looking for the next big teen actress. And we can all see how far that went.
Team Hilary.
I rest my case.

I think I broke Twitter - FAIL
I've just spent the past 20 minutes (during class) trying to figure out why the Internet on both my iPhone AND my computer were not working. The reason? Every time I try to go to Twitter.com, nothing comes up! Just an error (and not a Twitter whale fail).
Now, however, I have discovered that it's not the Internet that's not working, but rather just MY Twitter access.
I've just checked with friend and colleague, Samantha Urban, and apparently her Twitter is working just fine. So what's the deal? I'm afraid I might have broken Twitter last night during the Super Bowl when I tweeted about every commercial... But Sam did too!
Help me out, Twitter. I'll try not to crash the system again!
UPDATE: restarted my computer and it is working again, however the same cannot be said for my iPhone, which I restarted and is still not allowing me to access Twitter apps.
UPDATE Update: It's not working again. For some reason it worked on MY computer while I was logged in on a school computer at the same time. However when I logged out of the school computer and tried again on mine, it did not work. Rats!
